Four of the six panels on the planter have hand carved and painted soap stone in lay figurines, while two panels have the brass hardware common on Chinese furnishings. The backgrounds of each panel are painted with floral motifs, while the boarders have a hand painted gold accent pattern. The planter is a wood construction with a removable tin liner for direct planting. The included stand can be removed to vary the height of the plant. This is a wonderful décor piece to add a traditional Oriental flair to a variety of settings. The white color matches well with contemporary decors having light colors and clean lines. At the same time the Chinoiserie motif will fit just as well in a Victorian or Parisian interior. The planter is intended for inside use only and will not stand up to weathering.
